Guiding Students. Strengthening Programs. Expanding Pathways to College and Career.

Hi! I'm Margaret Sullivan.

M.P.P., Georgetown University
B.A., University of Virginia

For more than 25 years, I've worked across education and training programs as a teacher, researcher, evaluator, policy advisor, consultant, and college admissions counselor. Across these roles, my work has centered on helping people make informed decisions and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Today, I bring that perspective to:

  • Students and families navigating college admissions — developing thoughtful college lists, uncovering the stories and values at the heart of students' applications, and crafting essays that reflect who they are—not who they think colleges want them to be.

  • Organizations working to expand postsecondary and workforce opportunities — evaluating programs, conducting research, and transforming complex information into meaningful insights that advance their missions and drive better decisions.

Student & Family Admissions Counseling

Hands-on guidance through school lists, deadlines, and essays; built around who your student actually is, not a checklist.

Program Evaluation and Strategic Learning

Evaluation and strategy grounded in how institutions actually work, not just how they're supposed to—built on two decades of working alongside state agencies, philanthropy, universities, and school systems.
